Narrative:

We flew using the wrong load closeout. On the ground; I checked the closeout from the first officer looking for reasonableness. It was acceptable to me. I failed to check the header! Evidently we used the wrong closeout because once airborne; the printer spit out our load closeout. I thought the closeout was the proper one because the captain handed it to the first officer from his front panel where it had been residing while taxiing. The thought the load closeout must have been received while I was out of the cockpit before closing the cockpit door. I was wrong. Never again. I will check the header from now on and not trust the other cockpit crew members. I still cannot believe that I missed it on my preflight of the cockpit. I usually throw out inappropriate paperwork. Supplemental information from acn 735515: while approaching runway with tower hounding us 'are you ready first officer?' (me); noted no close-out yet. Relief pilot pointed out close-out was on panel. I grabbed it; checked numbers and they were less and very close to tps weights for zero fuel weight and to weight; etc. However; it was a close-out from the flight the night before; left in cockpit. Same weights as tps and we each thought the other had put it on the flight panel. Will in the future check the header and not take the word of other crew members as to the validity of paperwork. Will also clean cockpit after flight so this will not happen to other crews.

Title: B777 FLT CREW DEPARTED WITH INCORRECT PERFORMANCE DATA. NEW DATA CAME OVER COCKPIT PRINTER AFTER TKOF. IT WAS THEN THE CREW REALIZED THAT THE PERFORMANCE DATA USED WAS IN COCKPIT FROM PREVIOUS FLIGHT.

Narrative: WE FLEW USING THE WRONG LOAD CLOSEOUT. ON THE GND; I CHKED THE CLOSEOUT FROM THE FO LOOKING FOR REASONABLENESS. IT WAS ACCEPTABLE TO ME. I FAILED TO CHK THE HEADER! EVIDENTLY WE USED THE WRONG CLOSEOUT BECAUSE ONCE AIRBORNE; THE PRINTER SPIT OUT OUR LOAD CLOSEOUT. I THOUGHT THE CLOSEOUT WAS THE PROPER ONE BECAUSE THE CAPT HANDED IT TO THE FO FROM HIS FRONT PANEL WHERE IT HAD BEEN RESIDING WHILE TAXIING. THE THOUGHT THE LOAD CLOSEOUT MUST HAVE BEEN RECEIVED WHILE I WAS OUT OF THE COCKPIT BEFORE CLOSING THE COCKPIT DOOR. I WAS WRONG. NEVER AGAIN. I WILL CHK THE HEADER FROM NOW ON AND NOT TRUST THE OTHER COCKPIT CREW MEMBERS. I STILL CANNOT BELIEVE THAT I MISSED IT ON MY PREFLT OF THE COCKPIT. I USUALLY THROW OUT INAPPROPRIATE PAPERWORK. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 735515: WHILE APCHING RWY WITH TWR HOUNDING US 'ARE YOU READY FO?' (ME); NOTED NO CLOSE-OUT YET. RELIEF PLT POINTED OUT CLOSE-OUT WAS ON PANEL. I GRABBED IT; CHKED NUMBERS AND THEY WERE LESS AND VERY CLOSE TO TPS WTS FOR ZERO FUEL WT AND TO WT; ETC. HOWEVER; IT WAS A CLOSE-OUT FROM THE FLT THE NIGHT BEFORE; LEFT IN COCKPIT. SAME WTS AS TPS AND WE EACH THOUGHT THE OTHER HAD PUT IT ON THE FLT PANEL. WILL IN THE FUTURE CHK THE HEADER AND NOT TAKE THE WORD OF OTHER CREW MEMBERS AS TO THE VALIDITY OF PAPERWORK. WILL ALSO CLEAN COCKPIT AFTER FLT SO THIS WILL NOT HAPPEN TO OTHER CREWS.
