Narrative:

On departure from ont on prd 6 climbing to 7000 ft; I saw a flight of 2 aircraft directly in front of my aircraft. I leveled at 6800 and the 2 aircraft passed just overhead of us about 200-300 ft above us. If I had been at 7000 ft; I would have had to do a very radical maneuver to miss them. As it was; I saw them in time to stay below. There was no TCAS alert and they did not appear on our screen. The 2 aircraft were in close proximity/formation -- one was a biplane and the other was a single wing aircraft. We reported the near miss to ATC. We were lucky that we didn't have a midair.
