Narrative:
I was bumped from the left seat by the company executive who is a rated pilot in the falcon 20. I was riding on the jump seat. On departure he flew through the 1500 ft level off altitude on the first segment of the TEB5 departure. Both the copilot and myself were instructing him to return to 1500 ft. I believe that he went as high as 1800 ft before returning to 1500 ft. He claimed to not have seen a level off at 1500 ft on the pfd. It was set up in the FMS correctly and altitude selector correctly. ATC believed we went up due to traffic ahead and below. However; the controller suggested a review of the departure procedure may be in order. I doubt that he triggered a letter but as my name is on the flight plan I thought it prudent to send in the ASRS report.

Title: ALT DEV DURING THE TEB5 DEP BEING FLOWN BY A RATED CORPORATE OFFICER WHO HAD DISPLACED ONE OF HIS CREW.
Narrative: I WAS BUMPED FROM THE LEFT SEAT BY THE COMPANY EXECUTIVE WHO IS A RATED PILOT IN THE FALCON 20. IT WAS SET UP IN THE FMS CORRECTLY AND ALT SELECTOR CORRECTLY.
