Narrative:
I was working with many aircraft (all on radar vectors). Clt lost every frequency available and for 90+ seconds no controller in the building was able to talk to any aircraft. Backup radios did not work but battery pwred radios did. Sheer chaos for a couple of mins. Unsure if any (or how many) losses of separation occurred as facility was in the middle of a heavy departure/arrival push. Operated on battery pwred radios for 4-5 mins.
