Narrative:
On initial loading of FMS for the ceola departure txo transition to the miera arrival the box dropped out many of the in between fixes. I reprogrammed the box to include the kirst intersection but in error I spelled 'kirst' as 'krist.' we check the box and all appeared normal; give or take a few miles from the flight plan based on the selected runways. Once airborne and appearing to proceed to kirst fix the controller informed us to check our fix. It is at that time we noticed the error in the programming of the FMS.
