Narrative:
On approach to runway xx the green nose gear light did not illuminate. We advised tower; did a flyby and got vectors while we accomplished the landing gear unsafe procedure in the QRH and talked to air carrier; dispatch and maintenance control. Upon completion of all checklists we landed on runway xx flaps 40 degrees without further incident. We then had contract maintenance pin and inspect the nose gear and taxied to gate on our own power.
