Narrative:
Pressurization flow light came on from a failed duct in the tail of the aircraft. Started losing pressurization; declared an emergency and descended to 10000 ft. Did not take priority handling since we started the arrival and we had everything under control. Never deployed oxygen.

Title: AN MD80 CREW REPORTS DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND DESCENDING FOLLOWING A PRESSURIZATION LOSS DUE TO A FAILED DUCT IN THE ACFT'S TAIL.
Narrative: PRESSURIZATION FLOW LIGHT CAME ON FROM A FAILED DUCT IN THE TAIL OF THE ACFT. STARTED LOSING PRESSURIZATION; DECLARED AN EMER AND DSNDED TO 10000 FT. DID NOT TAKE PRIORITY HANDLING SINCE WE STARTED THE ARR AND WE HAD EVERYTHING UNDER CTL. NEVER DEPLOYED OXYGEN.
