Narrative:

Landed on runway 31; exited at taxiway J; and then turned sebound on taxiway B. While taxiing sebound toward the ramp on taxiway B; midway between txwys J and K; observed aircraft approaching opposite direction in landing confign. Aircraft had apparently mistaken taxiway for runway and represented a head-on collision threat. Reported situation to tower; and aircraft was instructed to go around. Aircraft immediately complied and passed off left side. Vertical clearance estimated 100 ft. Horizontal clearance estimated 200 ft. Continued to parking without further incident.

Title: A C172 PILOT REPORTS SEEING AN ACFT PREPARED TO LAND OPPOSITE DIRECTION ON THE TXWY HE WAS USING TO HIS RAMP. HE NOTIFIED ATC. ACFT EXECUTED GAR.

Narrative: LANDED ON RWY 31; EXITED AT TXWY J; AND THEN TURNED SEBOUND ON TXWY B. WHILE TAXIING SEBOUND TOWARD THE RAMP ON TXWY B; MIDWAY BTWN TXWYS J AND K; OBSERVED ACFT APCHING OPPOSITE DIRECTION IN LNDG CONFIGN. ACFT HAD APPARENTLY MISTAKEN TXWY FOR RWY AND REPRESENTED A HEAD-ON COLLISION THREAT. RPTED SITUATION TO TWR; AND ACFT WAS INSTRUCTED TO GO AROUND. ACFT IMMEDIATELY COMPLIED AND PASSED OFF L SIDE. VERT CLRNC ESTIMATED 100 FT. HORIZ CLRNC ESTIMATED 200 FT. CONTINUED TO PARKING WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT.
