Narrative:
Last week I was working card X. The card showed that I signed off on removing the rudder lock. I'm certain that I removed the lock like I have a hundred times before. I was informed that the lock was found on the airplane in ZZZ on a b-chk. When I removed the lock my procedure is to place it on the dock and not on the aircraft.
