Narrative:
I was called out to aircraft X. The crew reported that the right over-wing light lens was loose. I examined the lens and noticed that the tabs that secure the lens in place were gone. The aircraft was already boarding passenger; so I decided to secure the lens and place it on maintenance note. I then secured the lens and called maintenance control to put the lens on maintenance note. I filled out the logbook as 'right over-wing exit emergency sign is loose.' I failed to write the word lens when writing the discrepancy. I had written out the sticker placing it in the logbook. I then signed the logbook as 'ok' to continue per maintenance note. Later another mechanic in ZZZ signed off the repair as 'right&right right over-wing lens cover as per maintenance manual.
