Narrative:
I was working local control and had departed an E145 on heading 180 degrees. The E145 was switched to departure and was 2 mi south of the airport. The radar controller called to request lower for an FJ20 that was on a vector for the downwind and was south of the airport. The FJ20 was at 5000 ft per our procedures and the E145 was climbing out of 2000 ft for 4000 ft. I gave the radar controller permission to descend the FJ20; but didn't state that it was reference the E145 since it was already switched to departure and tagged. The FJ20 started descending and the conflict alert went off. It appeared that divergence was used. Even though both aircraft were on the radar frequency and tagged I thought later that I should have stated that lower was approved reference the E145 just to make sure the radar controller was watching both aircraft. Sometimes you feel stupid stating the obvious during coordination; but in this situation I would have felt more comfortable if I had.

Title: LIT LCL CTLR DESCRIBED POTENTIAL CONFLICT BETWEEN DEP AND ARR ACFT WHEN INTERFAC COORD WAS LESS THAN EXACT.
Narrative: I WAS WORKING LCL CTL AND HAD DEPARTED AN E145 ON HDG 180 DEGS. THE E145 WAS SWITCHED TO DEP AND WAS 2 MI S OF THE ARPT. THE RADAR CTLR CALLED TO REQUEST LOWER FOR AN FJ20 THAT WAS ON A VECTOR FOR THE DOWNWIND AND WAS S OF THE ARPT. THE FJ20 WAS AT 5000 FT PER OUR PROCS AND THE E145 WAS CLBING OUT OF 2000 FT FOR 4000 FT. I GAVE THE RADAR CTLR PERMISSION TO DSND THE FJ20; BUT DIDN'T STATE THAT IT WAS REF THE E145 SINCE IT WAS ALREADY SWITCHED TO DEP AND TAGGED. THE FJ20 STARTED DSNDING AND THE CONFLICT ALERT WENT OFF. IT APPEARED THAT DIVERGENCE WAS USED. EVEN THOUGH BOTH ACFT WERE ON THE RADAR FREQ AND TAGGED I THOUGHT LATER THAT I SHOULD HAVE STATED THAT LOWER WAS APPROVED REF THE E145 JUST TO MAKE SURE THE RADAR CTLR WAS WATCHING BOTH ACFT. SOMETIMES YOU FEEL STUPID STATING THE OBVIOUS DURING COORD; BUT IN THIS SIT I WOULD HAVE FELT MORE COMFORTABLE IF I HAD.
