Narrative:
Arrived into belize city; belize. First time at airport for both myself and first officer. Noticed on landing that numbers were not painted on runway 25; however visual conditions and visibility nice so we did not think much of it (noticed what appeared like a displaced threshold; but markings were poor and faded). Taxi out and hold short at taxiway B. Cessna caravan on 6-8 mile final and tower told us to taxi onto runway 25 position and wait. We began back-taxiing onto runway and tower advised us to expedite as traffic on 6 mile final. We acknowledged and had visual on cessna (also 737 doing zigzags many miles out also). We kept back-taxiing when tower told us that we taxied too far and the part of the runway we were on was not being used yet. We acknowledged and turned around and took off. As we started our takeoff roll I did notice the painted solid white line and runway 25; but it was faded. No NOTAMS or information on our paperwork about the runway extension.

Narrative: ARRIVED INTO BELIZE CITY; BELIZE. FIRST TIME AT ARPT FOR BOTH MYSELF AND FO. NOTICED ON LNDG THAT NUMBERS WERE NOT PAINTED ON RWY 25; HOWEVER VISUAL CONDITIONS AND VISIBILITY NICE SO WE DID NOT THINK MUCH OF IT (NOTICED WHAT APPEARED LIKE A DISPLACED THRESHOLD; BUT MARKINGS WERE POOR AND FADED). TAXI OUT AND HOLD SHORT AT TXWY B. CESSNA CARAVAN ON 6-8 MILE FINAL AND TOWER TOLD US TO TAXI ONTO RWY 25 POSITION AND WAIT. WE BEGAN BACK-TAXIING ONTO RWY AND TOWER ADVISED US TO EXPEDITE AS TFC ON 6 MILE FINAL. WE ACKNOWLEDGED AND HAD VISUAL ON CESSNA (ALSO 737 DOING ZIGZAGS MANY MILES OUT ALSO).
