Narrative:

On downwind; I put the gear down and saw a green light and finished my before landing checklist. Just before touchdown; I did my last chance checks and saw that the green light for my landing gear was no longer on. I went to full power and started my go around. My mains touched down lightly for a second before I was able to arrest my descent. I retract my flaps to 15 degrees and when I went to retract my gear; I saw the green light was on again. I retracted my gear; called the tower; and told them I was going around; and they said; ok enter left or right downwind; my choice. Once I was on left downwind; I told tower the reason that I went around was that I didn't have a green light and was afraid that my gear was not fully locked. At that point; I put the gear back down and to see if they could tell if it was down. They asked me if I had 3 green lights; and I told them that I had only 1; but this plane only has 1 green light. He said that I had 3 gear down and they appear to be in position. And I confirmed that I still had a green light. I was cleared to land and completed my checklist. On short final; I asked again for them to confirm that I still had 3 gear down. They said yes. After touchdown; I rolled out and retracted my flaps as normal on a beech 18 and when I applied the brakes; the nosewheel gear folded under and the nose of the plane touched the runway. I exited the pilot window with the airplane still on the centerline. I had no injuries and there was no damage to anything other than the propellers; the nose gear; and the nose cone. The plane was towed to the hangar. One last note: when we removed my headsets and things from the plane; the green gear light was still on.

Title: A BE18 EXECUTED A GAR WHEN THE LNDG GEAR DOWN LIGHT EXTINGUISHED. TOWER CONFIRMED 3 GEAR DOWN WITH A GREEN LIGHT NEXT APCH; BUT THE NOSE GEAR COLLAPSED.

Narrative: ON DOWNWIND; I PUT THE GEAR DOWN AND SAW A GREEN LIGHT AND FINISHED MY BEFORE LNDG CHKLIST. JUST BEFORE TOUCHDOWN; I DID MY LAST CHANCE CHKS AND SAW THAT THE GREEN LIGHT FOR MY LNDG GEAR WAS NO LONGER ON. I WENT TO FULL PWR AND STARTED MY GAR. MY MAINS TOUCHED DOWN LIGHTLY FOR A SECOND BEFORE I WAS ABLE TO ARREST MY DSCNT. I RETRACT MY FLAPS TO 15 DEGS AND WHEN I WENT TO RETRACT MY GEAR; I SAW THE GREEN LIGHT WAS ON AGAIN. I RETRACTED MY GEAR; CALLED THE TWR; AND TOLD THEM I WAS GOING AROUND; AND THEY SAID; OK ENTER L OR R DOWNWIND; MY CHOICE. ONCE I WAS ON L DOWNWIND; I TOLD TWR THE REASON THAT I WENT AROUND WAS THAT I DIDN'T HAVE A GREEN LIGHT AND WAS AFRAID THAT MY GEAR WAS NOT FULLY LOCKED. AT THAT POINT; I PUT THE GEAR BACK DOWN AND TO SEE IF THEY COULD TELL IF IT WAS DOWN. THEY ASKED ME IF I HAD 3 GREEN LIGHTS; AND I TOLD THEM THAT I HAD ONLY 1; BUT THIS PLANE ONLY HAS 1 GREEN LIGHT. HE SAID THAT I HAD 3 GEAR DOWN AND THEY APPEAR TO BE IN POS. AND I CONFIRMED THAT I STILL HAD A GREEN LIGHT. I WAS CLRED TO LAND AND COMPLETED MY CHKLIST. ON SHORT FINAL; I ASKED AGAIN FOR THEM TO CONFIRM THAT I STILL HAD 3 GEAR DOWN. THEY SAID YES. AFTER TOUCHDOWN; I ROLLED OUT AND RETRACTED MY FLAPS AS NORMAL ON A BEECH 18 AND WHEN I APPLIED THE BRAKES; THE NOSEWHEEL GEAR FOLDED UNDER AND THE NOSE OF THE PLANE TOUCHED THE RWY. I EXITED THE PLT WINDOW WITH THE AIRPLANE STILL ON THE CTRLINE. I HAD NO INJURIES AND THERE WAS NO DAMAGE TO ANYTHING OTHER THAN THE PROPS; THE NOSE GEAR; AND THE NOSE CONE. THE PLANE WAS TOWED TO THE HANGAR. ONE LAST NOTE: WHEN WE REMOVED MY HEADSETS AND THINGS FROM THE PLANE; THE GREEN GEAR LIGHT WAS STILL ON.
