Narrative:

We were approaching atlanta from the northwest with an east flow into atl. We expected runway 8L. Runway 8L was entered in the FMS and navigation radios. Our runway was changed to runway 9R. When we rebriefed the approach; we were programming the FMS when it captured the runway 8L localizer. Approach told us that we were 1 mi north of course. We disconnected the autoplt and hand flew south toward the runway 9R localizer. The FMS was reprogrammed and we were able to continue with the approach with no further problems.
