Narrative:
As we approached the gate we confirmed that nothing was in the safety critical zone. We noticed a lavatory truck approaching on the access road from our right to left. The truck did not yield and continued within our wingtip. I immediately applied brakes and came to an abrupt stop. The truck backed up and we continued without incident. I called ramp and notified them of what had occurred. We were not able to get the number off of the truck.
