Narrative:

I was informed by supervision that aircraft X failed to have a performance category downgrade due to the fact that a borrowed part was used. Generator installed was borrowed from another air carrier. We were rushed by supervision to make the flight before the crew went illegal. Stores delivered the part to the aircraft; unaware of the origin of the part. The only people that are performance category qualified are the avionics people. The flight crew ran the engine for an operations and leak check.
