Narrative:
We saw unusual landing runway in use at destination; so we checked WX on ACARS. This WX was below our dispatched WX so we called dispatch got an alternate and more fuel. This put us a little behind and I did not brief the entire pomona 7 SID to include the altitude restrs. Supplemental information from acn 758272: we were cleared via the pomona 7 departure; climb to and maintain 14000 ft. I received the clearance from ATC and set up the FMC and set the MCP for the SID. I set 14000 ft in the altitude pre-select window after looking at the pomona 7 SID briefly. I neglected to see the crossing restr at pom VOR stating at or below 7000 ft. The captain was the PF. He hand flew the departure with the flight director; LNAV. After passing approximately 8000 ft; ATC queried if we knew about the crossing restr at pom VOR. It was at this time we realized our mistake. ATC then cleared us direct to bucck intersection. Better pre-departure briefings with specific attention to altitudes and courses.

I RECEIVED THE CLRNC FROM ATC AND SET UP THE FMC AND SET THE MCP FOR THE SID. I SET 14000 FT IN THE ALT PRE-SELECT WINDOW AFTER LOOKING AT THE POMONA 7 SID BRIEFLY. I NEGLECTED TO SEE THE XING RESTR AT POM VOR STATING AT OR BELOW 7000 FT. THE CAPT WAS THE PF. HE HAND FLEW THE DEP WITH THE FLT DIRECTOR; LNAV. AFTER PASSING APPROX 8000 FT; ATC QUERIED IF WE KNEW ABOUT THE XING RESTR AT POM VOR. IT WAS AT THIS TIME WE REALIZED OUR MISTAKE. ATC THEN CLRED US DIRECT TO BUCCK INTXN. BETTER PRE-DEP BRIEFINGS WITH SPECIFIC ATTN TO ALTS AND COURSES.
