Narrative:
The purpose of this submission is to report that there is inadequate signage at the intersection of runway 01R and taxiway K at mke. While taxiing north on runway 01R; the appropriate route to the terminal is to turn left on taxiway K and proceed westbound. However; there is no sign adjacent to 01R and prior to taxiway K to denote taxiway K. When this clearance is given at night; the location of taxiway K becomes especially confusing. Pertinent to this is the fact that runway 31 intersects 01R at the same location; and aircraft travel onto runway 31 slightly while proceeding onto K. A technically correct clearance would state: 'turn left on runway 31; then left on K...' however; runway 31 is never mentioned when this clearance is given. Even if it was; there is no sign at the intersection of runway 31 and K either. For safety reasons; it is imperative that all intxns (taxiway and/or runway) be properly marked. I recommend adding the necessary signs at this location.

Title: RPTR ADVISES THAT TXWY K AT INTXN WITH RWYS 1R AND 31 HAS NO IDENTIFICATION SIGN. FEARS ACFT WILL EXIT 1R ON 31 VICE K.
Narrative: THE PURPOSE OF THIS SUBMISSION IS TO RPT THAT THERE IS INADEQUATE SIGNAGE AT THE INTXN OF RWY 01R AND TXWY K AT MKE. WHILE TAXIING N ON RWY 01R; THE APPROPRIATE RTE TO THE TERMINAL IS TO TURN L ON TXWY K AND PROCEED WESTBOUND. HOWEVER; THERE IS NO SIGN ADJACENT TO 01R AND PRIOR TO TXWY K TO DENOTE TXWY K. WHEN THIS CLRNC IS GIVEN AT NIGHT; THE LOCATION OF TXWY K BECOMES ESPECIALLY CONFUSING. PERTINENT TO THIS IS THE FACT THAT RUNWAY 31 INTERSECTS 01R AT THE SAME LOCATION; AND ACFT TRAVEL ONTO RWY 31 SLIGHTLY WHILE PROCEEDING ONTO K. A TECHNICALLY CORRECT CLRNC WOULD STATE: 'TURN L ON RWY 31; THEN L ON K...' HOWEVER; RWY 31 IS NEVER MENTIONED WHEN THIS CLRNC IS GIVEN. EVEN IF IT WAS; THERE IS NO SIGN AT THE INTXN OF RWY 31 AND K EITHER. FOR SAFETY REASONS; IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT ALL INTXNS (TXWY AND/OR RWY) BE PROPERLY MARKED. I RECOMMEND ADDING THE NECESSARY SIGNS AT THIS LOCATION.
