Narrative:
While reviewing the maintenance manual procedures for the right&right of the fuel boost pump; I realized I may have inadvertently loosened the wrong bolt; instead of the 3 bolts that are required to right&right the boost pump. By removing this bolt it allowed the shutoff sleeve assembly to come off and produced the fuel spill.

Title: WHILE REMOVING A FUEL BOOST PUMP FOR B767-300ER ACFT; MECHANIC INADVERTENTLY LOOSENED THE WRONG BOLT CAUSING A FUEL SPILL.
Narrative: WHILE REVIEWING THE MAINT MANUAL PROCS FOR THE R&R OF THE FUEL BOOST PUMP; I REALIZED I MAY HAVE INADVERTENTLY LOOSENED THE WRONG BOLT; INSTEAD OF THE 3 BOLTS THAT ARE REQUIRED TO R&R THE BOOST PUMP. BY REMOVING THIS BOLT IT ALLOWED THE SHUTOFF SLEEVE ASSEMBLY TO COME OFF AND PRODUCED THE FUEL SPILL.
