Narrative:
It has been brought to my attention that a flashlight was left in the right wing of aircraft X causing the flaps to jam. I have all my tools accounted for in my toolbox. For the entire job the only light I used was a black and yellow cordless led drop light which I have and have always had in my possession. The task I was performing was to change out a certain mfs PCU to comply with an engineering directive. Upon completion; the area was inspected and operations checks observed by the on-duty rii inspector. I do not believe the light was in there at that time due to the fact that neither I nor the inspector saw it during final inspection. Also; we had raised the flaps after the job and observed no problems. Along with me were 2 other mechanics and the inspector who can verify the light that I used to perform the task. The purpose of this report is because I was the last person to sign off the logbook for that area.
