Narrative:
We were cleared to taxi from the cargo ramp area to runway 22L. Instead of using taxiway E1 to a to runway 22L; the captain inadvertently taxied using taxiway D1 to a to runway 22L. That taxiway was not stressed for our aircraft. There are no taxiway signs and no lighting approaching D1/E1 from the ramp. It was the captain's first time operating out of mhr at night.
