Narrative:
During assigned to connect aircraft elevator pitch uncoupling system found an incorrect procedure at aml entry; maintenance control did not follow the general manual procedures. There is a different procedure between the general manual and the ATR 72 aom operations ferry flight with pitch elevator disconnected. General manual states that a special ferry permit is required and ATR 72 aom states that special ferry permit is not required. Follow the general manual procedure and correct aom.

Narrative: DURING ASSIGNED TO CONNECT ACFT ELEVATOR PITCH UNCOUPLING SYS FOUND AN INCORRECT PROC AT AML ENTRY; MAINT CTL DID NOT FOLLOW THE GENERAL MANUAL PROCS. THERE IS A DIFFERENT PROC BTWN THE GENERAL MANUAL AND THE ATR 72 AOM OPS FERRY FLT WITH PITCH ELEVATOR DISCONNECTED. GENERAL MANUAL STATES THAT A SPECIAL FERRY PERMIT IS REQUIRED AND ATR 72 AOM STATES THAT SPECIAL FERRY PERMIT IS NOT REQUIRED. FOLLOW THE GENERAL MANUAL PROC AND CORRECT AOM.
