Narrative:
I departed runway 24 at teb. My passenger was holding my charts for teb 5 departure. As he handed me the chart it fell on the floor under my seat. I engaged the autoplt to retrieve my chart. Autoplt did not engage; I at that time exceeded limits for teb 5 departure; I was told to call a phone number which I did when I returned from ZZZZ. The person who told me to call was not there. I left my name and phone number; I was told if needed that they would call me; if not called don't worry.
