Narrative:
On night VFR approach controller asked approach speed and aircraft type (separately) because of jet behind my aircraft was cleared to land. Immediately upon landing controller requested pilot to take first available taxiway. Pilot felt somewhat pressured to turn at first taxiway; but a) speed at turn and B) sudden wind gust caused left wingtip to strike taxiway on completion of turn. Corrective action proposed: a) continued emphasis to beginning pilots not to feel 'pressured' by such instructions (to take first available taxiway) brought on by rapidly approaching traffic behind aircraft cleared to land; B) advising controllers not to issue such instructions at critical phases of flight (eg; near touchdown).
