Narrative:
On final approach to mia runway 9 approximately 1300 ft; fully configured and on speed. TCAS reported traffic. I did not see traffic and the TCAS switched to RA to level off. I followed RA. Captain visually acquired traffic. A helicopter flew directly through our flight path; within 400 ft. While responding to RA; the tower reported traffic and stated that the helicopter had us in sight. After RA; I recaptured the GS and landed uneventfully.
