Narrative:
Experiencing a mechanical delay at ZZZ. Company commercial chart shows local curfew with a last depart time. Contact made with company dispatch to get information for departure. Dispatcher contacts ZZZ tower and is told since the reason is 'mechanical' we may depart after normal hours. Contact made with tower at XA30 to double-check closure; and we were informed we can depart at any time. We received TRACON land line number from ZZZ tower to receive ATC clearance; as tower personnel report they depart at XA45. We depart using runway xx at XC01 local time. Although we had been assured by ZZZ tower and our dispatcher that departure at this hour was approved; a NOTAM appeared in our flight release papers indicating that we had exceeded the noise decibel limit for that time period.

Narrative: EXPERIENCING A MECHANICAL DELAY AT ZZZ. COMPANY COMMERCIAL CHART SHOWS LCL CURFEW WITH A LAST DEPART TIME. CONTACT MADE WITH COMPANY DISPATCH TO GET INFO FOR DEP. DISPATCHER CONTACTS ZZZ TWR AND IS TOLD SINCE THE REASON IS 'MECHANICAL' WE MAY DEPART AFTER NORMAL HRS.
