Narrative:
I removed and replaced the forward service door and aft entry door emergency evacuate/evacuation slides. I installed the forward slide in the aft position and the aft slide in the forward position. After doing so; I didn't verify that the girt bars would lock into position on the floor mounted brackets. The crew discovered that the bars wouldn't lock into place after pushback.

AFTER DOING SO; I DIDN'T VERIFY THAT THE GIRT BARS WOULD LOCK INTO POS ON THE FLOOR MOUNTED BRACKETS. THE CREW DISCOVERED THAT THE BARS WOULDN'T LOCK INTO PLACE AFTER PUSHBACK.
