Narrative:

Inbound to ZZZ; runway xxl; just outside abc; I called for gear down. We then had a gear disagree warning message; with only the nose gear down. Both main gear were still showing up and locked. We executed a missed approach and ran the QRH. We advised ZZZ1 approach of our situation. After performing the QRH procedure; we successfully extended the landing gear; however; we decided to declare an emergency and have crash fire rescue equipment standing by just in case there was a mishap on landing. ATC vectored us to runway xxc; which we requested; as it is the longest runway. We landed on runway xxc uneventfully and taxied to the gate under our own power.
