Narrative:
On takeoff roll; about 60 KTS; we got an ECAM for the rear pit door unlock. We rejected takeoff. Maximum speed about 85 KTS ground speed. Maximum braking was applied with automatic brakes. Maximum brake temperature was 295 degrees on the left mains. We taxied to the gate. Maintenance was advised of the ECAM. Maintenance checked the door and found that the handle was unlocked. Maintenance re-stowed the handle and did a brake check. Then went to ZZZ uneventfully.
