Initial vectors were issued to air carrier X and air carrier Y to provide separation. After several control instructions to other aircraft; I issued more control turns to both air carrier X and air carrier Y; but it ended up being not enough.

Title: ZID CTLR EXPERIENCED OPERROR AT APPROX FL340 WHEN ISSUED VECTOR HEADINGS WERE NOT ENOUGH TO MAINTAIN LATERAL SEPARATION.
Narrative: INITIAL VECTORS WERE ISSUED TO ACR X AND ACR Y TO PROVIDE SEPARATION. AFTER SEVERAL CTL INSTRUCTIONS TO OTHER ACFT; I ISSUED MORE CTL TURNS TO BOTH ACR X AND ACR Y; BUT IT ENDED UP BEING NOT ENOUGH.
