Narrative:
We departed for a pleasure flight to 4j6. We requested and received radar advisories through jacksonville's class C airspace until advising st mary's in sight and being cleared to squawk 1200 and switch to the local CTAF frequency 122.8. Before letting us go; jax approach controller advised us that there was a baron at our 6 O'clock position; also inbound to st mary's who was 'faster' than us. We saw him on our tis system as being approximately 4 NM behind us; 1500 ft above. We continued to 4j6; making calls on the advisory frequency as to our intentions. Upon arriving at the airfield; we overflew at midfield; checked out the windsock (very light winds from the east) and entered a left downwind to runway 4; making position reports on 122.8 as we flew the pattern. We did not see the baron in the traffic pattern. We landed a bit long on runway 4 and rolled out. Then; since there are no txwys to exit into at the departure end of runway 4; we announced our intention to back-taxi on runway 4. When we turned; we saw the baron on short final for the runway -- headed directly at us. Apparently; he had made a long; straight-in approach for the runway. I announced on the CTAF 'baron landing runway 4 at st mary's; go around!' he did not. We turned and 'ran away' back towards the departure end of the runway' and pulled as far to the left side as possible. Luckily; he landed fairly short and came to a stop at least 1000 ft before us on the runway. Then; he turned and back-taxied to the ramp. We followed him and parked. We had never heard him make a single position report on the CTAF (but he definitely had a radio because we heard him talking to jax approach) and he obviously did not notice that there was an aircraft on the runway when he decided to land.

Title: PA28 BACK-TAXIING AFTER LNDG AT 4J6 ENCOUNTERS BE58 LANDING STRAIGHT IN DIRECTLY AT THEM. FORTUNATELY STOPPING SHORT OF THEIR POSITION. REPORTER ALLEGES NO CTAF TRANSMISSIONS BY BE58 PLT.
Narrative: WE DEPARTED FOR A PLEASURE FLT TO 4J6. WE REQUESTED AND RECEIVED RADAR ADVISORIES THROUGH JACKSONVILLE'S CLASS C AIRSPACE UNTIL ADVISING ST MARY'S IN SIGHT AND BEING CLRED TO SQUAWK 1200 AND SWITCH TO THE LCL CTAF FREQ 122.8. BEFORE LETTING US GO; JAX APCH CTLR ADVISED US THAT THERE WAS A BARON AT OUR 6 O'CLOCK POS; ALSO INBOUND TO ST MARY'S WHO WAS 'FASTER' THAN US. WE SAW HIM ON OUR TIS SYS AS BEING APPROX 4 NM BEHIND US; 1500 FT ABOVE. WE CONTINUED TO 4J6; MAKING CALLS ON THE ADVISORY FREQ AS TO OUR INTENTIONS. UPON ARRIVING AT THE AIRFIELD; WE OVERFLEW AT MIDFIELD; CHKED OUT THE WINDSOCK (VERY LIGHT WINDS FROM THE E) AND ENTERED A L DOWNWIND TO RWY 4; MAKING POS RPTS ON 122.8 AS WE FLEW THE PATTERN. WE DID NOT SEE THE BARON IN THE TFC PATTERN. WE LANDED A BIT LONG ON RWY 4 AND ROLLED OUT. THEN; SINCE THERE ARE NO TXWYS TO EXIT INTO AT THE DEP END OF RWY 4; WE ANNOUNCED OUR INTENTION TO BACK-TAXI ON RWY 4. WHEN WE TURNED; WE SAW THE BARON ON SHORT FINAL FOR THE RWY -- HEADED DIRECTLY AT US. APPARENTLY; HE HAD MADE A LONG; STRAIGHT-IN APCH FOR THE RWY. I ANNOUNCED ON THE CTAF 'BARON LNDG RWY 4 AT ST MARY'S; GO AROUND!' HE DID NOT. WE TURNED AND 'RAN AWAY' BACK TOWARDS THE DEP END OF THE RWY' AND PULLED AS FAR TO THE L SIDE AS POSSIBLE. LUCKILY; HE LANDED FAIRLY SHORT AND CAME TO A STOP AT LEAST 1000 FT BEFORE US ON THE RWY. THEN; HE TURNED AND BACK-TAXIED TO THE RAMP. WE FOLLOWED HIM AND PARKED. WE HAD NEVER HEARD HIM MAKE A SINGLE POS RPT ON THE CTAF (BUT HE DEFINITELY HAD A RADIO BECAUSE WE HEARD HIM TALKING TO JAX APCH) AND HE OBVIOUSLY DID NOT NOTICE THAT THERE WAS AN ACFT ON THE RWY WHEN HE DECIDED TO LAND.
