Narrative:
Flight plan/release/filing were sent. Routing was in error. Captain caught the error. Air carrier had planned the routing from btg.J16.PDT.J20.dnj.J16.mcw. Made positive contact with crew to verbally change route. I called center and had them amend to btg.J16.mcw. Flight plan fixes were ok; it was the route text that was the problem. The problem may have been caused by database update occurring overnight.
