Narrative:
After landing at gpt; I received a phone call from a fellow pilot stating I had flown under/through a parachute drop in progress. I was under ATC control on an IFR flight plan and did not receive an advisory of said operation. The area over the airport is notamed for parachute activity during the time I flew through. Vigilance was maintained for parachute activity and none was observed. Apparently; the parachutist was close enough to me to video tape my aircraft during free-fall.

Title: AFTER LNDG AT GPT AN IFR C182 PLT IS INFORMED THAT THEY HAD FLOWN THROUGH AN ACTIVE PARACHUTE DROP.
Narrative: AFTER LNDG AT GPT; I RECEIVED A PHONE CALL FROM A FELLOW PLT STATING I HAD FLOWN UNDER/THROUGH A PARACHUTE DROP IN PROGRESS. I WAS UNDER ATC CTL ON AN IFR FLT PLAN AND DID NOT RECEIVE AN ADVISORY OF SAID OP. THE AREA OVER THE ARPT IS NOTAMED FOR PARACHUTE ACTIVITY DURING THE TIME I FLEW THROUGH. VIGILANCE WAS MAINTAINED FOR PARACHUTE ACTIVITY AND NONE WAS OBSERVED. APPARENTLY; THE PARACHUTIST WAS CLOSE ENOUGH TO ME TO VIDEO TAPE MY ACFT DURING FREE-FALL.
