Narrative:
After V1; EICAS displayed 'right high stage' caution; continued takeoff. On SID; contacted maintenance; troubleshot; continued; leveled off at FL350; noticed cabin altitude climbing above 8000 ft. Cleared to descend to FL260; cabin steady for about 1 min; then started to climb. Got cabin altitude warning; qrc; continued descent; EICAS cabin automatic inoperative caution now; ran irregular checklist; masks in the back did not deploy. Cabin started to descend; dispatch and maintenance informed and consulted. Diverted to ZZZ. Overweight landing; uneventful. Supplemental information from acn 781945: shortly after reaching FL350; first officer noticed the cabin about 8000 ft; slowly climbing with no EICAS messages. Lower altitude requested from ATC in an effort to allow automatic system to control cabin altitude. Continued descent requested as cabin still climbing. In the mid 20's the cabin rate of climb became 0. Stayed there about 1 min then started to fluctuate; then climb again. Descent reinitiated; cabin altitude warn occurred; qrc performed; descent continued till cabin below 10000 ft. Emergency declared; vectors received to stay in the ZZZ area. Then got a cabin automatic inoperative message. Checklist performed.
