Narrative:
The aircraft had an inoperative fuel gauge for the left main tank. Despite the fact that the correct fueling procedures were followed; there is no procedure to verify that the required minimum takeoff fuel is on board prior to takeoff as required by regulation.

Title: B767-200 CAPT FEELS THAT PROCEDURES FOR THE OPERATION OF AN ACFT WITH AN INOP FUEL GAUGE ARE UNSATISFACTORY.
Narrative: THE ACFT HAD AN INOP FUEL GAUGE FOR THE L MAIN TANK. DESPITE THE FACT THAT THE CORRECT FUELING PROCS WERE FOLLOWED; THERE IS NO PROC TO VERIFY THAT THE REQUIRED MINIMUM TKOF FUEL IS ON BOARD PRIOR TO TKOF AS REQUIRED BY REG.
