Narrative:
Crew called for 'B' system hydraulic service. Finished off one can and used part of another. Could not find empty can on cart this evening. Called in duty to notify. He already was aware and said the can had been found several legs later. Service was documented in logbook. I still have the second partial can. Missing can apparently found in wheel well. After having some time to think about it; I remember it being windy and not wanting to set anything on the ground. When I popped the safety seal on the second can; it blew away and I diverted my focus to remembering to pick it up. The forward bag pit was already loaded when I arrived and passenger were boarding while I did the logbook. There is really never a good reason for something like this. Contract maintenance looked at the airplane and no damage was done.
