Narrative:

During a nighttime departure from teb we were initially told to use runway 24. On taxiing up to the hold short line I noticed the noise abatement sign warning of reduced noise levels required on that runway. I elected to request departure from runway 19; the non-noise sensitive runway. My request was granted; and as I was repositioning to hold short of runway 19 I had my copilot read me the dalton departure procedure for runway 19. He incorrectly read the level off altitude as 1500 ft which was set in the altitude pre selector; and flown by me. We were VMC at all times as the departure procedure is a VFR procedure but we leveled off momentarily at 1500 ft instead of the prescribed 1300 ft. We immediately corrected when advised by departure and no conflict occurred with any other aircraft.

Title: A BD700 FLT CREW DEPARTING TEB FLEW THROUGH THE CHARTED ALTITUDE ON A VFR DEPARTURE FROM RWY 19.

Narrative: DURING A NIGHTTIME DEPARTURE FROM TEB WE WERE INITIALLY TOLD TO USE RUNWAY 24. MY REQUEST WAS GRANTED; AND AS I WAS REPOSITIONING TO HOLD SHORT OF RUNWAY 19 I HAD MY COPLT READ ME THE DALTON DEPARTURE PROCEDURE FOR RUNWAY 19.
