Narrative:

Some time ago the company sent me some sort of dvd with an enclosed letter stating that I should complete the viewing of this dvd; and then certify this training on the company's intranet site. I do not know if this dvd even works; as I have been unable to use it in my home entertainment equipment. Later; when attending my recurrency training there was a reference to a similar training item to be completed on the union's web site. This portion did not work; and I was again unable to complete such training. I know of no specific requirement to own a dvd player to work for the company. Nor do I know of any requirement of any united states based worker of any sort to work free of charge outside of any mutually agreed to arrangement. Last I checked the definition of such forced labor was called slavery. Consequently; I have at this point not completed such training. Yet; when I accessed the on-line training records kept for me on the company's web site; I found that this training had been electronically signed off as completed. Since I have neither completed such training nor signed it off anywhere; I must assume that someone else had falsely filled this out in order to comply with agreements made directly between the company and government regulators; and not involving me. I have kept a printout of this transcript as listed on the company's web page should it be needed for further review of this matter.

Title: B757-200 CAPTAIN REPORTS UNABLE TO PERFORM DVD-BASED AT-HOME TRAINING REQUIRED BY HIS AIRLINE. LATER LEARNS THE COMPANY HAD INCORRECTLY SIGNED OFF THE TRAINING AS HAVING BEEN COMPLETED.

Narrative: SOME TIME AGO THE COMPANY SENT ME SOME SORT OF DVD WITH AN ENCLOSED LETTER STATING THAT I SHOULD COMPLETE THE VIEWING OF THIS DVD; AND THEN CERTIFY THIS TRAINING ON THE COMPANY'S INTRANET SITE. SINCE I HAVE NEITHER COMPLETED SUCH TRAINING NOR SIGNED IT OFF ANYWHERE; I MUST ASSUME THAT SOMEONE ELSE HAD FALSELY FILLED THIS OUT IN ORDER TO COMPLY WITH AGREEMENTS MADE DIRECTLY BTWN THE COMPANY AND GOV REGULATORS; AND NOT INVOLVING ME. I HAVE KEPT A PRINTOUT OF THIS TRANSCRIPT AS LISTED ON THE COMPANY'S WEB PAGE SHOULD IT BE NEEDED FOR FURTHER REVIEW OF THIS MATTER.
