Narrative:
Approximately 100 NM west of cmh at FL370; felt ears pop; saw cabin altitude rapidly climbing through 10000 ft and got cabin warning. Put on oxygen masks; declared emergency with ATC and initiated descent to 10000 ft. During descent; cabin started pressurizing and got 'pressurization automatic fail' message. Toward bottom of descent; completed appropriate checklist in aom and pressurization operated normally in manual mode. Diverted to cmh. No injuries reported. Pressurization system had been previously written up and repaired. Felt ears pop; saw cabin altitude rapidly rising on EICAS; and got cabin warning aural and red warning light. Put on oxygen mask; established communication; descended to 10000 ft; and completed appropriate checklists.
