Narrative:
We were taxiing from the FBO to the runway in olathe; ks (ixd). The txwys from the ramp to taxiway B are not clearly marked. We were referring to the airport diagram to aid us; while we were conducting checklists. I made a right turn to get from taxiway B in order to get to the runway entrance. The taxiway extends beyond the runway entrance; and due to the fact that we were running checklists; we missed the runway entrance. On down the taxiway; there is a turnoff to some t-hangars. I tried to make a u-turn; the right main gear dropped off the pavement; and we got stuck in the mud. The line guys stated that many other aircraft have made the same mistake of missing that turn.

Title: CONFUSED BY ARPT MARKINGS AND DISTRACTED BY CHECKLISTS; BUSINESS JET CAPTAIN GETS STUCK IN THE MUD FOLLOWING A TXWY EXCURSION WHILE ENTERING RWY AT IXD.
Narrative: WE WERE TAXIING FROM THE FBO TO THE RWY IN OLATHE; KS (IXD). THE TXWYS FROM THE RAMP TO TXWY B ARE NOT CLEARLY MARKED. THE TXWY EXTENDS BEYOND THE RWY ENTRANCE; AND DUE TO THE FACT THAT WE WERE RUNNING CHKLISTS; WE MISSED THE RWY ENTRANCE. ON DOWN THE TXWY; THERE IS A TURNOFF TO SOME T-HANGARS.
