Narrative:

While at FL300 and 50-60 NM southeast of ZZZ; we were alerted to an aft cargo fire indication. I continued flying and coordination with ATC for landing at ZZZ. The captain and jumpseat captain accomplished the QRH procedure and notified the flight attendants and passenger. The captain took the aircraft around 12000 ft and notified ZZZ approach that we would keep the speed fast below 10000 ft. The captain accomplished a nice heavy weight landing of approximately 143000 pounds and touched down with about 200 FPM sink rate. After we were stopped on runway; crash fire rescue equipment used a heat detecting 'gun' to check all cargo compartments; as well as a visual inspection before clearing us to proceed to the ramp to offload passenger.
