Narrative:
When asked by departure which departure we were on we replied the LOOP4. He said we should be on the OSHNN3 and that the LOOP4 was never used before (unknown) time. We responded that our pre departure clearance clearance was the LOOP4. We then loaded the OSHNN3 departure in the FMC and were cleared to the pevee point and resumed the departure. During climbout we reviewed the pre departure clearance clearance and determined that we had both missed the amended clearance. I think there are at least two questions/points that need to be addressed: 1) why are company flights being filed for a departure that is never used at that time of day from lax (or any other airport). 2) why is the wrong route still displayed in the pre departure clearance? In other words; if the routing has changed; why doesn't the new routing replace the old/incorrect routing in the main text in the pre departure clearance?
