Narrative:
Departed ZZZ en route ZZZ1. Upon flap retraction; we had a flap asymmetry amber caution light illuminate on forward instrument panel. Looked at flap annunciator panel on overhead and saw that the #3 slat on left wing showed full extend with flaps and all other led's stowed. Performed and complied with flap asymmetry checklist; notified dispatch and maintenance control via ACARS; and proceeded to ZZZ1. Made a flaps 15 degree landing as per QRH procedures at ZZZ1. Requested crash fire rescue equipment stand by as per precautionary landing procedures on initial contact with ZZZ1 approach. Made announcement to passenger and briefed first flight attendant as per company policy. She in turn briefed the other flight attendants. At no time did my first officer or I declare an emergency with ATC or company. Landing uneventful. Taxied to gate under own power with no further issues. Pulled out QRH; performed and complied with flap/slat asymmetry no led device checklist.
