Narrative:
Loading FMS. Autoplt FMS would not accept alb J6 sax. Alb originally came up on east coordinate that would not delete. We entered the route from albany; ny; manually from the hi 314 united states map. The map is extremely congested in that area; and mslin was entered in the FMS instead of flosi. Boston called us and gave us a turn back to course when we passed acove. We were probably 3 mi off course. The original problem was with the FMS database; which later led to the manual loading problem.
