Narrative:
I was on a photographic mission this afternoon. Our first location was approximately 5 NM nnw of the ZZZ airport; a construction site of a new store. The next site was approximately 5 NM due north of that; an apartment complex construction site. The next location was a dredging operation in the river; approximately 10 NM due west. The final location was an estate; approximately 5 NM nne of the ZZZ airport. I returned to the ZZZ airport about XA00. Upon postflt I discovered I had lost the starboard ground handling wheel that had been pinned in the flight position. The port ground handling wheel was still pinned in place. I notified the airport authority/authorized and we conducted and completed ramp and field search for the wheel with negative results. The airport authority/authorized assured me he would contact me if he received information on the location of the wheel. The ZZZ police were notified of the loss. This evening I was notified the wheel had been found on a local golf course and I could pick it up tomorrow. No injuries or property damage.
