Narrative:

Non-standard; displaced hold-short line incursion. While taxiing for runway 18 on the west taxiway; we crossed the hold-short line by approximately 100 ft. The original; standard ('expected') hold-short marking were still present at the runway threshold -- but had been painted over. The new hold-short line had been moved back to a point along the taxiway approximately 500 ft from the threshold and run-up area. Although the standard signage and markings (somewhat faded) are present; they are in a very unusual location and the 'expected' hold-short line can still be seen. As soon as we saw the hold-short line pass under our nose; we stopped as quickly as possible and confessed our error and apologized. ATC was understanding but re-reminded us that we technically crossed the runway threshold -- but cleared us for takeoff. The taxi diagram and notations do not highlight nor make mention of this unusual placement. Perhaps better signage/diagrams or an ATC taxi-clearance briefing for transient aircraft would help prevent this type of occurrence in the future.callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: this is the first airport that the reporter has encountered with a hold line moved back down the parallel taxiway due to the requirements of pofz and was caught off guard by its location. Reporter would like to see better signs and perhaps lights at these airports with nonstandard hold line placements. Notes on airport diagrams and or a heads up from ground control would also be appreciated.

Title: PILOT REPORTS INADVERTENTLY CROSSING ASG RWY 18 HOLD LINE; WHICH IS ALLEGEDLY LOCATED 500 FEET FROM RWY THRESHOLD.

Narrative: NON-STANDARD; DISPLACED HOLD-SHORT LINE INCURSION. PERHAPS BETTER SIGNAGE/DIAGRAMS OR AN ATC TAXI-CLEARANCE BRIEFING FOR TRANSIENT AIRCRAFT WOULD HELP PREVENT THIS TYPE OF OCCURRENCE IN THE FUTURE.CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: THIS IS THE FIRST ARPT THAT THE REPORTER HAS ENCOUNTERED WITH A HOLD LINE MOVED BACK DOWN THE PARALLEL TXWY DUE TO THE REQUIREMENTS OF POFZ AND WAS CAUGHT OFF GUARD BY ITS LOCATION. REPORTER WOULD LIKE TO SEE BETTER SIGNS AND PERHAPS LIGHTS AT THESE ARPTS WITH NONSTANDARD HOLD LINE PLACEMENTS. NOTES ON ARPT DIAGRAMS AND OR A HEADS UP FROM GROUND CONTROL WOULD ALSO BE APPRECIATED.
