Narrative:

The lack of class B airspace to the west and south of lgb airport is an ongoing problem. Any aircraft can fly into either the wbound or sbound departure corridors at 2500 ft or 3000 ft. Numerous aircraft conflict with departures climbing from lgb. Without any regulated airspace in that area numerous TCAS events and midair collisions occur on a near daily basis. Expansion of the lax class B airspace could alleviate this hazard without too much of an inconvenience to GA if the new design followed the contours of the lgb departure corridors. Unless something is done; there will be a collision with an lgb jet departure.
