Narrative:
This is a report about aircraft X; not sure about the date. I got a call to aircraft X about a double lavatory oversvced. I arrived at the aircraft and found both aft lavatories oversvced. The lavatory service person put in 6 gallons in a 5 maximum tanks; it caused both lavatories to fountain in the lavatories. In compliance with the task card that the spill was local and not bigger than 3 ft by 3 ft. After removing both covers and cleaning the area and checking for leaks; everything in the lavatories was complied with per task card. I asked my supervisor about putting the spill on a maintenance tracking system; and he said no because the spill was not bigger than 3 ft by 3 ft. I said ok and signed off the task card and log page and left the aircraft; thinking that I did my job per the task card and following my supervisor's instructions everything is correct. But I felt bad about not putting it on a maintenance track system.
