Narrative:
On approach to eddf; we were given a vector to intercept ILS for runway 07L. The frequency had changed but we did not know it. It was not heard on ATIS or noticed in the NOTAMS. We did not intercept (capture) the localizer as instructed; flew past it; got a traffic alert for an aircraft departing on runway 18 (no factor-visual). Approach control noticed we flew through the localizer; and turned us back to intercept. Told them we didn't have the ILS on the left so they cleared us for the ILS runway 07R instead. Approach was stabilized above 1000 ft and all normal on the approach and landing. Problems: 1) eddf ILS runway 07L was not in our FMS database. 2) we did not hear the new frequency for the ILS runway 07L on ATIS (it was put on later); but did hear that autolands to runway 07L were not authorized. 3) we did not notice the frequency change in our NOTAMS but it was there the next day.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: B757 FAILS TO INTERCEPT LOC FOR RWY 7L AT EDDF. FREQUENCY CHANGE NOTAMED BUT NOT NOTICED BY FLT CREW. CHANGE WAS NOT IN ACFT DATABASE.
Narrative: ON APCH TO EDDF; WE WERE GIVEN A VECTOR TO INTERCEPT ILS FOR RWY 07L. THE FREQ HAD CHANGED BUT WE DID NOT KNOW IT. IT WAS NOT HEARD ON ATIS OR NOTICED IN THE NOTAMS. WE DID NOT INTERCEPT (CAPTURE) THE LOC AS INSTRUCTED; FLEW PAST IT; GOT A TFC ALERT FOR AN ACFT DEPARTING ON RWY 18 (NO FACTOR-VISUAL). APCH CTL NOTICED WE FLEW THROUGH THE LOC; AND TURNED US BACK TO INTERCEPT. TOLD THEM WE DIDN'T HAVE THE ILS ON THE LEFT SO THEY CLEARED US FOR THE ILS RWY 07R INSTEAD. APCH WAS STABILIZED ABOVE 1000 FT AND ALL NORMAL ON THE APCH AND LNDG. PROBLEMS: 1) EDDF ILS RWY 07L WAS NOT IN OUR FMS DATABASE. 2) WE DID NOT HEAR THE NEW FREQ FOR THE ILS RWY 07L ON ATIS (IT WAS PUT ON LATER); BUT DID HEAR THAT AUTOLANDS TO RWY 07L WERE NOT AUTHORIZED. 3) WE DID NOT NOTICE THE FREQ CHANGE IN OUR NOTAMS BUT IT WAS THERE THE NEXT DAY.
