Narrative:
During the inspection of the engineering document; I inadvertently misunderstood the intent of the mechanic's portion of this engineering document was to ensure that there is a proper clearance between the clamp; wire bundle and fuel door; as the mechanic step on item X is north/a on this engineering document; my concentration was on step X which describes these tolerances. I suggest a change to this engineering document paperwork which would remove this mechanic 'north/a' on step X 'correct orientation of clamp' so that we would truly have 2 sets of eyes inspecting this item.

Title: INSPECTOR WORKING A B737-700 ACFT RECOMMENDS A PAPERWORK CHANGE IN THEIR ENGINEERING DOCUMENT; TO ADDRESS CORRECT ORIENTATION OF A CLAMP; WHEN INSPECTING PROPER CLEARANCE BETWEEN THE CLAMP; WIRE BUNDLE AND FUEL DOOR.
Narrative: DURING THE INSPECTION OF THE ENGINEERING DOCUMENT; I INADVERTENTLY MISUNDERSTOOD THE INTENT OF THE MECH'S PORTION OF THIS ENGINEERING DOCUMENT WAS TO ENSURE THAT THERE IS A PROPER CLRNC BTWN THE CLAMP; WIRE BUNDLE AND FUEL DOOR; AS THE MECH STEP ON ITEM X IS N/A ON THIS ENGINEERING DOCUMENT; MY CONCENTRATION WAS ON STEP X WHICH DESCRIBES THESE TOLERANCES. I SUGGEST A CHANGE TO THIS ENGINEERING DOCUMENT PAPERWORK WHICH WOULD REMOVE THIS MECH 'N/A' ON STEP X 'CORRECT ORIENTATION OF CLAMP' SO THAT WE WOULD TRULY HAVE 2 SETS OF EYES INSPECTING THIS ITEM.
